Spelling Errors

Publish. There, you finally completed it, just to find that you spelled the word the wrong. Seriously? Instead of the A that you deserve, you’ll get a lower score. Just. Because. Of. A. Spelling. Error.

This has happened to me countless times, and unfortunately, it sometimes only gets worse. In the spelling bee, I got the easiest word in the whole entire competition. Whiff. Seriously, I was the first one out just because of a spelling error!

Lockers

Nope. It’s not like someone’s going to get shoved in it, but occasionally, lockers can be a bit overwhelming. Okay, just to straighten things out, no, even if you wish on an eyelash that your locker will suddenly grow into a huge mansion, it won’t. So, because there are hundreds of these tiny, yellow things in one space, it kinda gets crowded sometimes. Most people call this time “rush hour,” but it’s more like “rush five minutes.” Also, forgetting your combination is a pretty big deal, but luckily, I haven’t done that before. So, if you get the chance to deal with some lockers…

GOOD LUCK!!!!

Our Class Mission Statement!

Every day, English opens a new chapter. I will pick up my books and pens and take down the monster that is known as doubt.  In English there is no limit to what you can write or what you can read. I will explore new ideas in my daily writing with creativity. I will listen and be involved for the better of the class.

This room is where we are on the same team, so we will forgive and understand because everyone has a story. We express ourselves with confidence. Staying focused and showing kindness to others will be the key to success for this year. This is the room where you can be yourself.

Be kind to everyone, everywhere, every day.

We’re savage–no one can change that. In the end there is one thing you need to take away from this class, and that is…… YOU CAN DO IT!

Our mission statement is unique. It’s a personalized message that everyone in our class has contributed to, so it’s special to everybody. I’ve never really done anything like this before, and if I ever get another chance to do this again, I’d definitely like to. A mission statement might change the way our class behaves as a whole. The final product of our mission statement will hopefully get us thinking more positively. Also, I know that I would feel motivated, and would want to exceed my limits. This can also remind us that our class is a place to not be afraid. We will take down the monster known as doubt. In partners, we wrote a class mission statement, then, as a class, we compiled it into our own special sentences. I enjoyed all the aspects of writing a class mission statement!!!
